well its like this

O types can give to everyother type but can only accept O
A types can only accept A or O, can give to A, AB
B types can only accept B or O, can give to B, AB
AB can accept everything but only give to AB

Then you have (+) and (-) types.......... Pluses only give to or accept pluses and same with minuses.

EX- I have A+ and you have AB+ so i can give you my blood but you cant give me yours.
