My boyfriend told me he loved me. thats not a bad thing or anything. I know he means it. Its just i've never been in love and i really dont use the word love at all because its a good way to get hurt. So my questions is should i say it back?

Only if you honestly mean it and trust him.
Remember the phrase that "a puppy isn't just for Christmas"? Well, love isn't a word to be thrown around to suit your needs either.
If you mean it, say it. If not, don't!

Going off of what ended up happening to me, I would say to stay back from this one and tell him that you'll only tell him you love him when you think that you really mean it. And you'll know when you really do. It's just a feeling that you get that can't be missinterpreted by anyone..

be honest -- if you dont feel it then dont say it --- but not saying it does not mean it wont hurt
