I just got a great job offer in Tucker, GA and I am thinking about taking the offer and buying a home in Lithonia area. I've checked Money mag, Sterling's, Black Enterprise and some other resources. I really want to know what the people who live or have lived there think. I am African American, married, and have three kids. Thanks, in advance.

You might want to find out how the rest of the family would feel about this move. You say you have three kids, so you should be most concerned about how they would feel. When a family moves, it's the children whom seem to take it the hardest. The parents would say something like "Don't worry, you'll make no friends." But they seem to never think about the friends their kids leave behind. This is a sad situation. For the kids, a move can be traumatic experience. So I would think most about them if I was you. I hope my answer helps.

Definitely move. If it's a better paying job than what you have now than GO FOR IT. You're only bettering yourself and your family in the long run. I wish you well in your travels. Good Luck to ya!!! :-)

Have you ever been to these areas? Spending some time in an area, may be the best way to answer your question.
