I don't need a wedding planning book but a book that helps when coupled with pre marital counseling. Thanks in advance.

I agree with "The Five Love Languages." That's a great book! Also, a book that a friend gave me when I started to think that my husband might be "the one" back when we were dating - "Fit to be Tied" by Gary & Lynn Hybles. (I may have spelled their name wrong.) Very good, very realistic view of what to expect.

My fiancée and I Just went through Preparing for Marriage: A Complete Guide to Help You Discover God's Plan for a Lifetime of Love, By David Boehi, Brent Nelson, Jeff Schulte, Lloyd Shadrach. There is a lot of wonderful information in this book that will help you. It will lead you through lots of things you will have to deal with in your marriage, some you may have though of, some you may not have. I would recommend this book to anyone getting married.

I like the "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. It talks about how people associate love with behavior. How you may interpret love is different than how your future spouse will. I think his opinions on sex are a little hooey but his base ideas about the interpretation of love are very interesting. I think this book and the ideas within have great merit.

source #2 is amazing. it has everything you need to plan a wedding from start to finish.
source #3 is a bit extra, is you want to add special touches and learn the proper way of doing things, and are willing to spend a bit more to learn these things...this one's good.

Hi, first off, congrats on the up coming day. I know what your going through. We read two bokks that worked for us.
The first one is "The Feeling Good Handbook" by David D. Burns.
The next, "Relationship Rescue" by Phillip C. McGraw

I would recommend "His Needs, Her Needs." My husband and I read it before our wedding, and it was very helpful in putting questions out on the table and helping us figure things out BEFORE they became a big deal (such as chores, extended family, etc.)

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, the pastor who married us had us read this book before getting married. It helped us to understand each other alot!
