Sure it will. You could either bleach it or I would suggest putting in alot of blonder highlights.

Definitely see a professional, I strongly, strongly suggest it when messing with blonde hair dying! You won't regret it later, especially if you are trying to go lighter. I fried my hair by bleaching it over the course of about a year. Turns out I was leaving the "dye" on too long and it made my hair weak and snap off in a lot of spots and left my hair about 3-4 inches long in a lot of areas. This didn't happen all at once, it was over time. I am STILL trying to grow it back to this day.
Blonde shades are funny, too - you could end up with yellow hair or something grey/green depending on what shades you use. Trust me, I've had just about every bad experience with a bad blonde dye job that is possible!
So - I had to wear a lot of hair pieces, like the clips & drawstrings. With those, though, you *have* to match the hair piece to your own hair, and good. Unfortunaltely, pieces that matched well were SOOOO hard to find due to the funky yellow shades my hair would turn.

See a professional. How it will work depends on the natural tones in your hair. It is much easier to go to a lighter blonde from natural blonde hair, other than starting with a darker color. I would suggest having highlights added so you achive a more natural looking lighter blonde.

I wouldn't change your color, I think different color blonde highlights would be much more interesting and sexy.

Just consider this before doing it:
Another hair dyer! Going to be polluting the world by unleashing those damaging chemicals to the streams and nature. Stop, think! Don't do it! Just imagine you drinking that stuff in that box; what harm it would do to your body system!
Whats wrong with your natural DNA settings? Your supposed to respect yourself!
