Straight? No chaser??? Like downing shots? Milagro reposado tequila.
If I drink straight liquor (sipping only), it'll be Remy Martin XO.
If I drink beer it is Carta Blanca from Mexico
If I am going to eat steak, I have bourbon & water.
If I am just drinking, El Jimador Tequila with lemonade.
If I am eating pizza, I like prosecco or asti spumante.
I really don't drink hardly ever, but there are those situations...you know?

Sour mash whiskey. Keep away from open flame. I don't drink anymore but when I did this hit the spot. Think you can handle it? Do three shot in a row, fast and non stop, no pauses. And like you said, no chasers and you can't breathe through your nose.

My choice is to abstain from all alcoholic drinks. Since they are addictive, I feel I am better off without them. I can have grape juice which is better than wine, and there is no need for anyone or anything in order to be chased.........

I enjoy Jameson 12-year old Irish Whiskey, with ice.
Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch (12 year) is my follow-up choice (with ice).
Cheers!
