Research is not a key component of faith.
And the fact is, if Christians did research their religion, they would become atheists, (or at worst... agnostics)

the truth is, it's not really choice. not to "dig" on anyone, but i believe that those who tend to follow and obey without thinking for themselves are programmed to do so. we are all programmed in one way or another.
to be told that you are going to believe or go to hell, especially when you ar a child- i mean, how could you make a choice like that? fear will keep you in that line of thinking, because the alternative is out of the question.
also, ego does not like to be wrong. this goes for all humans. if you spend your whole life believing something, and you have invested so much of your time and effort into it...to consider the possibility you might be wrong is also unthinkable because then your whole life would seem like a lie. the rug would be pulled out from under you.
unless you have humility and admit that anything is possible, even the atheists don't admit that there is a possibility that there is a God. The God that the Christians describe? probably not- but some intelligent energy that is the Process of LIfe... it's all in the definitions.

Atheists only know what they've read about Christianity in books by other atheists. Sure, you could say that Christians do the same thing but the basis of almost all of atheistic principles are mere philosophical thoughts than actual proof. There is a lot of historical and archaelogical proof for Christianity's origins. The only part that atheists could actually have an argument with is the actual existence of God. That's where faith steps in and since atheists only have faith in their limitations, that is one matter that they will never be convinced of.
Hope this answers your question.

I do my own research. I'm constinantly researching my religion. I've met a few athiests who know less then me about Christianity, so your blanket statement is false.

People who are not of God do not know more- they just interpret the truth the way they want. Without the Holy Spirit one will never know the Lord. Anyone can know what the Bible says- even satan knows the bible- but many do not believe nor walk in the truth- nor interpret scipture right or stay in context of scripture- that is why Jesus sent a "helper" as He says in the gospels- the Holy Spirit to lead those who are saved into all truth.

True Christians do. I have noticed that many non-christians are aware that the God of the Bible is not a trinity, while many so-called Christians believe he is. They have plenty of Catholic and Protestant reference books that admit that the trinity is not in the Bible. They prefer to be misguided by their church ministers rather than do a little research.
True Christians know that God is not a trinity.

Atheist's know more about Christianity as a tool to try to justify their unbelief and intellectual pride.Atheist's also use it as a tool for attack against Christian's.
Yeah,I've heard that crap before. You did exactly what every atheist does, your predictability will never go away, because you all think exactly the same.Too bad atheist's are held back by their own laws of unbelief. That keeps your intellect as primitive as your imaginary neanderthal man.But I forgive you for you attack on Christian's.I hope and pray you don't wait too late to accept God's gift of eternal life.
Peace be unto you.

I've done my own research. I'm also half Christain. Half athiest. My favorite book was written by a professor who separted the fiction parts from the Di Vinchi Code. It was interesting. I especialy liked the pagen woman part that was the start of the religion.

We do, what atheists know is out of context and fabricated to suite their own needs, any evidence to the contrary they are given is rejected out of bias hatred towards even the idea or concept of God because their minds are "seared" against God.
