I'm assuming you mean "head lice" that is normally found on children. NIX is supposed to be the best product out there. But you also have to wash all clothing and toys with at least a bleach mixture.

Your pediatrician should discuss your options with you as well. The children are to stay at home from school to eliminate spreading it to other children.

Here is a web-site.

I used to work at a day care around a bunch of little kids so treating my head for lice even if i didn't have it became a regular thing for me. Rid was to time consuming so I started asking around... Alcohol....regular rubbing alcohol...you can go to the dollar store and get it for like $0.50 a bottle... she may need someone to help her. She needs to throw her hair over her head into a sink and pour the alcohol directly on her hair... be sure she holds her breath because its going to be hard to breathe...Completely soak her head and then cover all of her hair with a wal mart bag as tight as possible... Leave on for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it out. The alcohol will suffocate anything alive and it makes the hair to where nothing can hang on...I know this sounds dumb it works

i wish people would take this stuff seriously... head lice has nothing to do with "mixing with vermin" or anything else like that.. it's a proven fact that lice like clean hair, so it says nothing about the "lack of hygene" aight?? got it???

go to the store, get a lice removal kit... the one we used when i had lice in grade 2 was green and white (i don't remember the brand.. sorry).. then we put all pillows outside in garbage bags for 2 weeks because the snow will freeze the nits... wash EVERYTHING that your sister(s) came in contact with.. socks on the floor, pillow cases, pants, sheets, blankets... throw stuffed animals out in garbage bags with the pillows in the cold...

hair elastics and stuff that her hair has come in contact with, THROW OUT... they're cheap enough to buy new ones...

buy the lice removal spray for your furniture too... just to be on the safe side

as well, bleach everything that you can....

it'll be expensive, but it's worth it!

i hope this helps..

if you need more help, feel free to email me.. amber.newsome@yahoo.ca

Yea, get some Nix-Off or something quick, lice and nix are not easy to get rid of witout a gallon of turpentine an a pair of goggles in the bath tub.

A single application will help for now, but will return if you're not consistent and sterilize everything you or your hair comes in contact with, they WILL return worser than ever.

i hate to say this but mayo does work, beleive me i tried it, my 11 yr old had lice for three years straight of and on starting in kindergarten and all the way up to third grade, nothing though since fourth grade , thank the lord i thought i would LOSE my mind, it was unbeleivable and he went to a new school in a middle class subdivision. anyway i had to ogo to the pediatrician and get a prescription shampoo, but follow the instructions on the bottle or whatever your doc says because that kind of shampoo can become toxic if not used properly. and yes you need to treat the hair again in 14 days because they will come back, they are extremely hard to get rid of. best of luck to you.

Lice shampoo to kill any just in case and it comes with a special comb. Try walmart, cvs, even the grocery store, etc

You can go to any drug store and get the comb to remove nits, but you might actually have to put her hair into sections and pull each one out individually. It will be time consuming, but that's the best way.

You need to buy a treatment, I believe it is called Nix. You can pretty much find it anywhere. You also need to wash her bedsheets and clothes in VERY hot water. Nix also makes a spray treatment that you can use on your funiture and carpets, which isnt a bad idea. p.s. if she has the eggs, then there is a bug somewhere, the eggs can not just appear on their own.

Go to the drug store and purchase a kit for lice removal.

Also wash all bedding in the house with hot water and any dirty clothes.

I KNOW DAWN WORKS GOOD FOR FLEAS, MIGHT ALSO DO THE SAME FOR LICE. IT'D BE BETTER THAN THE HARSH THINGS THEY SELL FOR LICE TREATMENT. YOU ALMOST HAVE TO TAKE YOUR NAIL AND SLID THE NITS OFF OF THE HAIR SHAFT. I KNOW, BEEN THERE TOO.
