I love father Ted - brilliant! But as a critique on religion I have to say the Life of Brian is perfect! A bunch of people following someone they 'believe' is the messiah! They don't listen to his central message (you are all individuals) and start to argue about his meaning (follow the gourd! Gather all shoes into one place! We must all take off one shoe!). Brian then has to die 'for them' even though he doesn't want to. Religion in a nutshell!

I'd go along with Father Ted. The shyness that Dougall shows for nuns/women is quite sad really. The attitude of some religions to sex is absurd

I don't agree and I'm in no way religious. They are both satires of religion. The life of Father Ted doesnt really exist, you know?
