A CO permit is not valid in MO. You need to get a MO permit before you can start to learn to drive here.

Neither one of my sons got their driver's license until they were 19 which is when they finally decided they could afford car payments & insurance. I was the one who drove them down to the DVM for their permits :) New drivers always get permits first so they can legally practice driving on the road. There's nothing to study, no test but you do have to bring in a couple of forms of ID. The permits are usually good for a year. While picking up the permit, ask for the driving instruction manual for your state. It's a small book that pretty much includes all the driving rules & regs. Once you get some practice time behind the wheel, and feel like you know the material in the book, you can take the driving exam.
