I'm an ROTC student and if you can get an academy DO IT unless you want the college experience in ROTC. First work your butt off in college and get to the top especially if you want a combat career. The Army deploys longer and gives more training options such as ranger school, airborne, air assault, etc. The Army also has more bases around the world, this could be good or bad. The Army does tend to go toward the needs of the army but all branches do this. The Air Force doesn't have as much combat as other branches that's why it is sometimes called the Chair Force. But it does have alot more "intelligent jobs" such as computers and cyber____ (insert word) Overall I would do alot more reading but since you are leaning Army Go Army (see the pun there lol)

It is a common misconception that they are gay. It comes from the notion that you put hundreds of men on a boat and they're lonely and things happen. That's not to say that some of them are not gay, but to say all of them are gay would be like saying that everyone who goes to prison is gay.
My grandfather was in the Navy. He's far from gay, and has NO stories about gay encounters onboard the ship. Maybe the fact that you have searched for 8 months for proof should be your first clue that this is not true.

I know two gay former USN officers, my ex boss and my next door neighbor. I car pool with an ex USN guy who is straight, so they're not all gay. He says it was just like anywhere else, gays and straight people in the usual numbers.
As for the RN, I know a number of former RN officers and ratings and all of the ones I know are straight. I do know one ex RN officer who told my old company he was going to have a sex change and started coming to work in a dress and telling them to call him Daphne instead of Commander Dave B RN (retired), but when they laid him off for it he got married to a woman within a month and returned to normal, it's funny the things people will do for a redundancy payment.
I think you are just a homophobe with some really strange dillusions.
Is it common knowledge? Well other than your dillusions, it is illegal to be gay in the RN and last time I was involved in the UK defence industry it would also cost you your security clearance. The MoD police persecute gays like the witch finders of old.

As a serving member of the RN, I know many officers and although many come across a bit 'light on their feet' this is due to their posh upbringing and not a sign of homosexuality.
Since 2000 when gays were allowed to serve in the RN, I have not noticed a huge surge of them joining the forces - not that it matters anyway.
Are you sure you are not satisfying some homosexual fantasy yourself? Do you wish you were out at sea with a ship full of gay men?
More RAF are gay - have you noticed the number of moustache wearers?

I'm not going to give u a mean answer like so many ppl already have I'm sure you just worded this wrong, i know alot of things like cartoons make it look like that but no, not all are, but yes some are just like in the military and army, (and queer and gay are the same thing) and if they are they won't tell you b/c they will get kicked out that is the policy with things like that don't ask don't tell hope that answers your question and try to word what you say a lil more carefully

No. Cause it's not true.
Or were you looking for a date?
Why don't you go into a bar that is frequented by Navy personnel and ask them if they are all gay as well as the retired Navy folks.

I served four years in the navy and served on eight ships. I never heard of even one navy officer who was gay. You must of meant the coast guard,

Only RN.
And why not go into a naval bar and drop your soap? You'd find out then....
The proper navy, the Merchant Navy, are all straight :) And it doesn't take 1,100 of us to run a 400 ton ship, either lol
