A lot of times you can buy photo magazines that come with cds of older editing software, like photoshop. The mgs can run anywhere between 5 and 10 dollars. Plus, a large portion of the magazine is dedicated to walking you thru the cd and showing you how to do what you can do with it. Good Luck!

INFRANVIEW is free and it is sort of a junior photoshop.
it works well. PICASA2 from google is free and it has some very neat features for photo manipulation. Try them both and see which one you prefer in won't cost you a cent.

inspect exhibit sprint. It facilitates you to capture something which you relatively choose on your exhibit, upload paint outcomes including draw, paint, shapes, upload image outcomes like black and white, invert, brightness, after which you will save and upload the image promptly to the internet. there's a loose version and it rocks! It relatively combines Paint, Photoshop, and image internet hosting. sturdy success:)
