why do guys turn cold the second a relationship is over? why do they not want to talk about things and remain friends? Do they still hold a special place for their ex-girlfriends like most girls do with guys or are we just forgotten and buried??

don't want you hanging on keeping your hopes up.
or if he got dumped, doesn't want to feel the pain.

in my experience, it's not always the guys that turn cold. a lot of it has to do with not wanting to deal with the emotional side of things and/or fear of facing the truth about why you broke up in the first place. could be guilt of selfishness. they may hold a special place for their exes. i know i do.

When I broke up with my wife (she left me) I wanted to remain friends, and I needed answers to my questions. But the more I asked the more I found out stuff I didnt want to know, same with her. The truth came out and neither of us liked what we were hearing, it got more and more difficult to communicate and now we don't talk at all, I blocked her email, her MSN, and her cell number.

That is why it is best not to want to know the answers to your questions and why I wished I had been cold.

The macho in them requires it. They still have some feelings, but they do not want their friends to see them as 'suckers'. At this point you just have to move on and remember the good stuff. Some guys do come to the realization that you and him can be good friends. Good Luck!!

I think guys handle things so differently - and it's confusing! Yes, I think they remember their exes, but I don't think they talk about it the way us gals do. I think they keep it inside and to themselves.

Ego plays a big part in the cold dept. but dont sweat it if he doesn't want to be your friend. LOVE YOURSELF MORE AND MOVE ON.
