Marry 6 year olds and have sex with them when they are 9?
Mohammed did it, so why don't they? If they think he was so wonderful.....why not follow his example?

also...for those of u saying average life expectancy of 30? He was 54 at the time! what does that say about the "prophet of God"????

First of all, i'm sure you just heard this from someone and thought it was ridiculous and of course it would be if you do not know the wisdom behind this marriage of the greatest Prophet of all!
Ayesha (RA) was 9 when she was bethrothed to our dearest Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and he did not consummated the marriage until she reached her puberty (i'm not exactly sure of the age).
This marriage was approved by Allah (SWT) and it served as a great asset to Islam.
Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) was the daughter of Prophet Muhammad pbuh's best friend Abu Bakr (may allah be pleased with him).
You must know that she was pleased and felt honored to be married to Prohet Muhammd pbuh.
The reasons are many why the marriage between Ayesha (ra) and Prophet Muhammad pbuh was perfect.
She was very intelligent and smart.
She learned much about Islam from Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
She was quick and excellent with memorization (most hadeeth or the sayings of prophet muhammad pbuh are narrated by her)
She helped women communicate their issues/problems with prophet muhammad pbuh and answered their questions.
She was the greatest female scholar of Islam.
Even male scholars would ask her questions after the death of Prophet Muhamamd pbuh.
And much more!
This is much better than what happens in the world now. And it is not Muslims who are obsessed with child pornography, rape and harassment of young children.

Dude you are very sick and as for as what Mohammed did that has no baring on what the followers of Islam should do today.
Because in the begining Adam slept with his daughters and the sons with the eve and the sons and daughter slept together but that was then this is now.
The earth is fully populated there is not need for that any more.

In Mohammed's time the avergae life span was 30 years. Keep in mind that Christians married each other as young as 10 years of age up until about 200 years ago. As our life span continues to increase, the average age of marriage increases.

Well if you did a bit more reading then you seem to have done, you will see that there are numerous, numerous texts from scholars as well as Aisha(the woman in question) saying that she was actually 18 years old when it was consummated.

Those days, peoples have big physical built and more matured -regardless at any age, people were born free by GOD,to choose their life styles.
