These guys have all got it wrong. The reason you're eating instant noodles is because you are on a budget. When you're on a budget, you generally don't have a lot of utensils or counter space, so you don't want to have to incorporate multiple ingredients in various bowls. It's not likely that you have exotic, or even traditional spices lying around, either. You just want to have something cheap, simple, and tasty to toss in there. There's no need for theatrics, people! Pretend you are a chef somewhere else (and realize that girls don't really do the chili thing like we do); this girl needs practical advice,.
And here it is:
A bag of frozen mixed vegetables. Whatever's lying around getting frostbitten in the freezer. Toss a half of a cup or so of those suckers in, and do it before you add the noodles. Use a little more water than you usually do, too. Boil them for a couple of minutes, then toss in your noodles and cook as usual. (In the unlikely case that you have either sesame or chili oil lying around, splash a little of either of those in there, too. (Not both. One.) That was a fancy-shmancy suggestion, huh? Well, you can plainly see that it's annoying, right? Ok then.

Well if you have been to Thailand, the roadside way of cooking instant noodles is to fry them. In fact, they will pour some water into the pan, break the noodles and starting frying them. At the same time, you just add, egg and veg + some oil + fish sauce (Thai seasoning) and of course the packet seasoning found inside. It's a form of fry noodles commonly eaten by the locals. I've tried it few times when I was there doing some army training. It's quite tasty. Tried it some day.

microwave a dish the size of an average cereal bowl with it a quarter full of water until it boils. About 2 1/2 minutes or until boiling put in seasoning, put in the noodles then cook for another minute and stir. I think I'm going to make some.

I made Chicken flavor Top Ramen for a snack last night for a friend and me, and I tossed in the seasoning packet, a bit of sesame oil, a bit of Mongolian Fire Oil, some tvp/soy crumbles, sliced green onion and squeezed lime over it while we were eating it. Tasted kind of like the instant Tom Yum Shrimp noodle bowls I used to buy at the Asian marked in Sacramento. Yummy!
The Nissin Foods home page has a recipe section. I'd check there and then let them inspire me. Here's the link ---> http://nissinfoods.com/

For a health kick:
Break up the ramen noodles into small pieces.
Then spread them on a cookie sheet or casserole dish & sprinkle the seasoning on top. Bake them in the oven til they are slightly golden brown. (Just like if you were making homemade chex mix.)
Then take them out & add them to a large salad with dried cranberries or raisins or some other fruit & top with an italian or vinagerette dressing.
Yum!

Instant chinese noodles, boil it in beef or chicken broth, add chopped green onions, sliced baby mushrooms. A little ground black pepper. And maybe add a little bit of diced skinless, boneless chicken, or diced beef, depending on the broth you use, unless your a vegetarion. You could also add a 1/4 cup of plain cooked rice purely optional. Put a parsley leaf garnish in the middle. Now you've got a meal. Goes good with white wine. cheers.

Oh I always do this at home...
Cook noodles in water with half pack of seasoning.
Drain noodles till 90% (leave some water in so that its not too dry)
Stir in remaining seasoning, half teaspoon of dark soy sauce, a dash of pepper or chilli flakes and half a can of tuna.
Its yummy. Try it.

I like making Kluski noodles, drain them and put butter on them when they are hot with lots of pepper.
When your drain them don't rinse them ,then they will cool off too fast. Real Italians don't rinse their pasta either by the way.
I guess you could do the same thing with egg noodles but I like Kluski noodles.
sometimes I add red pepper flakes or hot sauce.

Depending on availability, I add hard boiled eggs, chopped green onion, cooked chicken and a little squeeze of lime or lemon juice. Sometimes, I drain it then add the seasoning packet and add the same thing or any cooked veggies I have in hand.
