Because if these so-called "Christians" actually wanted Christian advice on their problems, they'd read the Bible. I presume that most Christians already own several bibles. If you want to sell someone something, it has to have something they don't already own.

Seriously, what examples do you have. Are you proposing that ALL Christian "self-help" books have Eastern philosophy? And if that is the case, name the books. To ask such a generalized question deserves a generalized answer....
