You're not supposed to peek....just don't tell anyone you are.
I totally couldn't help myself from peeking every once in a while. I was all like, "YES! We got the comforter!"
I know, I know, that was very immature and selfish of me. But it was quite fun!

It's probably a good idea to check periodically so that you can update if necessary. For instance, if you registry is getting close to full with few options left for guests to purchase, you may want to add more. Go ahead and check - it's not like the items you picked will be a surprise.
My fiance and I are getting married in July of next year. Yes, it's incredibly exciting - lots of planning too.
Congratulations, by the way!

i've got peeked at mine a lot! It actuall has worked out because of the fact I did a objective registry, yet no person truly is familiar with approximately it, plus we've not got a objective yet (I did it on line) so I further the stuff from there to my mattress tub and previous registry. Plus, i substitute into waiting to replace it after my bathe.

totally peek....it'll give you more of an idea of what people wanna spend, and may let you update your registry in a manner which will get you more presents! don't panic if you don't see much progress on it for a while, Ive heard that the most presents get purchased the night before or on the way to the wedding! As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna go check mine now! haha!

After your wedding invitations go out, you are SUPPOSED to look at your registry often, in case it needs updated for any reason.
However (how can I put this mildly), I am concerned that you sound rather-- obsessed with gifts.
You should be more concerned with your relationships with others, and being a polite and gracious bride. Not registering a year early and getting all thrilled about gifts, to this extent. Gifts should be entirely beside the point. Just... try to get a little perspective.

You should finish your registry months before the bridal shower and wedding. You don't want to ruin all the fun by knowing what all you are getting. It is much better as a surprise!

I don't think there is anything wrong with looking at your registry. I personally would just want to wait for the surprise. I don't think it's appropriate to look at your registry to see if you need add more stuff. I would consult with your fiance about what you need and put those things on the list based on your need. If a guest looks at the registry and finds something they will buy it but if they can't find something that fits their funds they will have no trouble finding you a gift that isn't on your registry and I'm sure it will be just as wonderful and give you a few surprises to open up on the big day!

I always checked mine. Though I'm not too big on surprises. I just wanted to see what we had gotten and if we need to add anything or take anything off. I mean, its not like you know WHO got you the gift so it is still kind of a surprise.

i'd have to say keeping checking it, but don't check it with the intention of what people got you or what they haven't. check it to see if there are still item left, b/c those procrastonators that wait until the week before the wedding won't know what to get you when it comes time. congrats on the wedding GOOD LUCK :)

I checked mine. And you may need ot add gifts as people start buying off ther registry, so that would be a good excuse to check.
