The Baker Report recommends a gradual pulling out. Seems bi-partisans are leading the day.
"Perhaps the most controversial passage envisions a rapid drawdown of U.S. troops. "The primary mission of U.S. forces in Iraq should evolve to one of supporting the Iraqi army, which would take over primary responsibility for combat operations," the report says. "By the first quarter of 2008, subject to unexpected developments in the security situation on the ground, all combat bridges not necessary for force protection could be out of Iraq."

It is not in the hands of the politicians to make that much of a difference here. The amount of personnel and equipment here is staggering, and any sane person would see that a pullout is impossible in less than two years.
We can make a change in policy for "trips outside the wire". But I honestly don't know what the short range changes would result in for us over here.

If you mean win the war and then come home is possible. If you mean bring the troops home and forget about our interest in Irak and the middle east, I don't think so. We have to complete our mission for the benefit of Irak, the USA and the rest of the free world.

Big mistake if they do, and I do not support "a cut and run"...but this is what we face.
What will happen "if" we were ever invaded by a large force...pull back or cut and run into Oregon? Bah!
Dem's dont care about us being safe. They are cowards. They will NEVER see any support from me with moving out of Iraq....I'll support that when the military commanders say its time.

the decision to end the war has already been made. It's just a question of when.

they are going to promise it to keep their jobs, as long as we dont pull out too quickly and help that country stabilize itself, it will be okay otherwise pulling out now will probably be the biggest mistake we have made since we pulled out of Vietnam due to liberals not understanding why we were there in the first place.

Yes, the cowards will cut and run. Then y'all will blame Bush when we get attacked again.

That's a gross oversimplification of the situation, and not really accurate or realistic.
