I’ve never needed it, but I've heard it works for most people. Here’s where you can get some information about it: http://www.buddyandoscars.com/Health_Beauty_Skincare.htm

I used Proactiv for 3 months and it worked great, but I have changed to Acne Free which has the same exact ingredients, you get the same results for half the cost, and you can buy it at any drugstore. With Proactiv the send and charge you every month even if you don't need it yet. Didn't like that. Acne Free you get it as you need it and there are no shipping charges.

I have had problems over this past year with break outs & having lots of blackheads. It disgusts me. I researched & researched trying to find something that would work & I did find something that has worked for me. I realise it may not work for you or everyone out there. However, I bought Klear Action. I don't know if you've heard of it, but it compares to Proactiv yet it's 1/2 the price. I haven't compared myself but it claims to have the same ingredients. It sales for $19.99 at Walgreens. I'm not sure who else sales it but you can find it over the Internet. It comes with the 3 step process. You get your wash, your toner, & your lotion. It has really really cleared my skin up. I get a bump on occasion but for the most part I'm clear. My blackheads are even gone. I saw a difference & that it was working within 2 days. It wasn't all gone that quick but I saw a drastic change in my face. I wash my face twice a day in it most of the time, but there's days I only get one wash in. I would like to tell you about Proactiv but I haven't used it. I went straight for this product because of it claiming to be the same thing for 1/2 the price & it has worked great for me. I hope this helps. Good Luck~

Hi,
As with any acne product the reason it works is it has to dry out your skin(pores) as that is where acne comes from, bacteria and oil.
Over use of any product can cause your skin to react abnormally, As you have read, most of the people who have answered have given a positive response to your query, some people, as with anything will have a reaction to a new product, their skin is just reactive to that certain substance.
If you want to try proactive, here is a link that will save you close to 50% off the normal price.
Save nearly 50% on Proactiv Solution now!
Take a look, if you don't like what you see, then you can move on to something else, but at least take an educated look. It worked for my Daughter,Thanks

Pro Activ didn't work for me at all. It REALLY dried out my skin too. In fact I think I ended up worse rather than better. That being said - the mask they have is the kit worked well with cleaning out the blackheads on my nose. It smells terrible, but the mask is good. Right now I am using Vichy products and my skin has really improved.

Honestly, I tried proactive. It worked at first but then it seemed like I grew immune to it after a month or two. Plus I have really oily skin and it dried it out so bad that I was peeling! I used to have fairly bad acne but then I started using Neutrogenia (I probably spelled that wrong) Oil-Free Acne Wash. Now I'm getting, what? 1 small, hardly noticeable pimple a month! It works great! But yeah, DON'T waste your money with proactive.

I not only had acne, but I had extremely sensitive skin as well. Pro Active has been great for me. I don't have any more breakouts and it doesn't over dry or burn the skin. You do have to use it twice a day (am and pm). But all I ever use is the cleanser and mask. I didn't care for the toner or lotion.

I used proactive for 2 months and nothing happend to my skin. They say in the commercial that you will see improvements within 2 weeks, but my face didn't get better or worse. I heard that if you have oily skin. I guess it only works for certain people who have minimal acne. If you find anything that works, tell me cuz I'm still looking too.

Pro active works if you keep using it on time, it can also mean that your face does not work to some solutions and it will have to try something else

It worked for me for a bit, but then I started breaking out worse than before! I called and switched to the Extra Strength solution (they don't offer this, you generally have to ask for it) and so far it is working even less!!!! The regular stuff might work, it just depends!
