My Grandma has passed and the recipe with her. I would love to find out how she made her homemade fudge. It was a chocolate fudge with a distinct Hershey's cocoa flavor. It was not chewy, but actually somewhat hard with a melt-in-your-mouth powdered texture. I couldn't get enough of it as a kid. Does anyone know how to make such fudge?

That would be the recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa container. My husband makes it several times a year. He adds more cocoa because he likes it darker. I really don't care for the texture because it is rather hard and crumbly. My mother has forgotten what recipe she used when I was a child for fudge - I really loved it - it was milk chocolatey and creamy. The best part was the little 1/4 of a marachino cherry she put on top of each piece. I have tried all kinds of recipes she has, but can't get them to come out the same. It could be as simple as the wrong butter/margerine, but I don't know... :(

I believe that's actually the recipe from the back of the Hershey's cocoa container! I remember making one just like you described and I'm pretty sure that's where I got it. Been a long time, though.
