Yes i am very close since a young age. The first time i felt god i was 5 but it took me along time to except the fact that god existed. I remember when i was five i lied to my mum for no reason and told her that i saw my dad in my dream and he told me you should read the Quran and pray. To this day i don't even know why i lied but i still remember it clearly.

I remember the first time i held the Quran i was in shwaifat a boarding school in Lebanon. I hated it and would not go out on Saturday with the children on a trip cause i would wait for my mother or someone to come and pick me up 90% no one will come. my mother was in Africa so. Amway, i was sitting on the bed one day feeling really sad i still remember. for some reason i remembered the sacrifice of Ismael story of Abraham. There was a Quran next to my bed belong to one of my roommates picked it up and learnt the fate-ha still reading to this day helped me get through much rougher times thank you for reminding me . Anyway take care sister and god bless.

I accepted Jesus into my life and received the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit keeps me in constant communion with the Father.
The Holy Spirit gives me Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.
You might read the gospel of John from start to finish, and ask the Holy Spirit to interpret it for you.
You can also use Bible Study websites to help you.
Type in Bible Study in Yahoo or Google and it will give you some good resourses.
You could also visit my website; www.kingdom-principles.org.
I will be praying for you to receive the kind of relationship with God that I have.
Grace and peace

Sometimes I feel very close to God other times it is a struggle. To keep close to Him, read your Bible (I like psalms especially when I'm struggling) and pray. Also if you are doing something you know is wrong that will alienate you from God.

Yes.
"Faith comes by hearing the word of God"
"draw near to the father and the will draw near to you'

When I don't feel close to him I realize I either haven't been attending church or haven't been reading the bible. I pray before I read for understanding and many times I feel like God puts new stuff in I had never read before-he speaks to me this way!
Ask God to be closer to you and he will help you! It's you not close to him, not the other way.

Yes I try to have a relationship with him and be his friend.
The bible says...“Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” (James 4:8)
“He is not far off from each one of us.” (Acts 17:27; 1 Chronicles 28:9)
Some people don't know how to draw close to Jehovah. One important reason why we should pray to Jehovah is that he invites us to do so. His Word encourages us: “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6, 7) Surely we would not want to ignore such a kind provision made for us by the Supreme Ruler of the universe! Then we have to take in knowledge about him. “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sesent forth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3)

1) Read his word daily (I suggest a NIV Study Bible)
2) Pray (talk to him hourly)
3) Spend time with his followers weekly (find a small group at church. This helps more than most people know.)
4) Listen for his still small voice and keep a prayer journal so you can look back and praise him for answered prayers.

yes I think so, on the other hand if you want to keep yourself close to him you have to feel his love inside of you and ask him to asist you in order to understand him, religions give you commands but God gives you wisdom, and remember, charity is the more important.
