I want just the screen part, no frame and not the metal part that the screen retracts into. I just want it to put on my wall somewhere, without any of that extra stuff, because I don't think it will work in my set up with all of that.

You could approach one of the screen manufacturuers and see if they will sell you the material without a frame. However, you might be asking for trouble trying to mount it without some form of frame ... a fixed frame is only a couple of inches thick, after all. Alternatively you could simply do a DIY screen by painting a suitable bare wall or any of several smooth substrates. See the 4th link below.
My painted screen is good enough that I no longer intend to buy a commercial screen ... and it only cost be $50 plus my time to do.
