definitely English - English is a bit of a melting pot language in that it absorbs vocabulary from other languages, with the biggest influence being French. I do also recall reading somewhere that English language dictionaries contain more entries than any other language.

Being a Spanish native speaker does not prevent me from honestly recognizing that English is a richer language, by far.

Most certainly English, for its a Germanic Language with a heavy Romanic influence, meaning that there is mostly two words for the same thing:
I.e. Wood / Forest
hate / detest
answer / reply
foresay / predict
The list could be continued....

Spanish; because in English sometimes you use a combination of words (2 part verbs, etc) to say something, in Spanish there are different words to name most of these verbs, and also the conjugations in Spanish are different and in English most of them have just 2 variants.

Both probably are about the same. They estimate there are about a million words used in the English language, and Spanish is in the same range.

Spanish. Simply because in English we have the same words to express different things depending on the context. Spanish relies more on the meaning of each word therefore you need more difeerent words to ecpress more complex ideas.
