2006 candles could be fire hazard

We do sing "Happy Birthday". But we don't bother with a cake. As someone pointed out, over two thousand candles would be a definite fire hazard!

As for presents, which someone besides yourself mentioned, He gives the Present to us, silly; that's why we celebrate!

Have a happy Jesus' birthday, y'all!

Jesus wouldn't have celebrated his birthday as he was a modest guy (Bless Him)... plus there is no mention of the date in the bible, I dont think birthdays were that important back then and he was busy saving the world.

In Mass they do sing and there are candles but no cake!!! maybe you should suggest it ...lol

I have nothing more to say. I had a good laugh at some answer, don't you think ? What I think is that the truth is that he was not born on that very day. You have to count with the precession of equinoxes.

In my home we celebrate christmas just like that. Have a cake and sing happy b-day. We have to remember its not about all the gifts and santa clause, its about Jesus and his birth.

Because Christ died over 2000 years ago and we do not sing Happy Birthday to a dead person. He may have resurrected from the dead and He may sit on right hand of God Almighty, but His body is dead. We celebrate the birth of Christ and the death and Resurrection of Christ not as a living person, but as an Almighty Being.

Because last time they did it in New Orleans, when he went to blow out the candles... well... do I need to mention this was last year?

I can see God just sitting there with a dumb look on his face and quietly whispering... "Doh!"

We retell the story of his birth and we sing songs of praise and thanks.
We have cake and refreshments after.
Candles aren't needed, He isn't likely to blow them out.
