One thing strikes me, the mass murder of boy children in Moses' time and the mass murder of children in Jesus' time.

Did any of you catch that too, I guess it kinda just hit me.

Wow, Jesus was racist, really?

Don't think so.

He visits the Samaritans.
Speaks well of them.
Tells His followers that He should not want to call down fire on them.

Heals a Roman (ha--Roman at that) Centurion's son.

Many other things.

"Salvation is for the jew first and then the gentile."

Not racism, just the Jews are God's chosen people.

The Catholic BIble contains the "apocraphe". THese books don't have the same archaological relevence as the other books and are heavily debated as far as authenticity, but the gospels can be found in their original Greek forms.

I think that's right, but don't take my word for it. Look it up.

Moses and Jesus are simillar in the sense that,Moses was given a commission to lead the Isrealites out of Egyptian boundage, and Jesus was also given the commission to lead Gods chosen people (even inthsi our time) to Gods kingdom. That way they both have work of life-saving and restoration.

If you want to look at it historically:
Moses was a great leader from the Old Testament. He got the Jewish people out of Egyptian slavery and almost to the Promised Land. Because of his disobedience to God his brother Aaron led to the actual place.
Jesus was considered a great leader and prophet from the New Testament. He was the Messiah promised to the Jewish people since the time of Adam and Eve. He brought the people away from the slavery of sin and gave them the promise of Heaven.
You might check Matthew Chapter 1 for the genealogy.

Both are Delivers and prophets in the Pass Over Moses pays God for the sins of the Jews by spreading the blood of the lamb over the wood in the frames of the door and windows so the Spirit would pass over. In the same manner Jesus did paid for the sin not only of the Jews but also mankind by spreading His blood over the wood of the cross like in the frame of the doors and windows. In the Pass over Moses delivered His people out of bondage and so Jesus in the cross delivered His people out of bondage and sin including you and me.

Yes, in many ways. They both taught the word of God to the people. They both gave the people laws to live their lives by. They both delivered their people from harm (Moses physically, Jesus spiritually).

If you look closely at the story of the Exodus, you will see that it is highly symbolic. Moses is a "type" of Christ, that is, he is symbolic of the Messiah who leads his people to the "promised land" and saves them from danger. Many of the teachings of Moses pointed toward Jesus Christ. Many of the miracles he performed were symbolic of the spiritual grace that Jesus Christ provides.

Moses was the greatest of Prophets and Jesus a charlatan (failed messiah wannabe).
