No, it is on the West Coast - Seattle, Los Angeles. Toronto is 3 hours ahead.

PDT is only in British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and the Yukon. Doesn't sound like Toronto or Montreal qualify.

The P stands for Pacific (as in the British Columbia side of Canada!).

No, they are the same as eastern time zone. The basis of
changing daylight savings time,however was brought about for the farmers ;so they could have more daylight to work.
