But why does Jesus say Moses and the Prophets?
Is he just putting special emphasis on Moses or making distinction?

You're right that he did foretell the coming of Christ. Had forgotten that. I guess I always thought of prophets as being Jeremiah or Isaiah, but you are right. Thanks for making me dig deeper. Been rehashing the Bible.

Muslims and Christian say so but as fall as I know he was the DELIVER, but Moses says in Deuteronomy 18:17-19: The LORD said to me: "What they say is good. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. 19 If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account. " so We can say he was both.

His is thought of as a Prophet, maybe only 'beated' by Elijah for the role of 'top prophet'. The word doesn't really mean much in a Christian environment because Christians believe the prophecies to be Fulfilled in the Person of Jesus Christ; in a Jewish reading, where they still point to an undisclosed Messiah, the words of the prophets keep much of their original power.

In the Qur'an, the life of Prophet Moses (Arabic: Musa) is narrated and recounted more than any other prophet recognized in Islam. The Qur'an narrates much of Moses' life in relation to God. The Qur'an and the Bible are similar on the basic outline of Moses' life. But one of the distinctive accounts which is found in the Qur'an but not the Bible, is the story of Moses and Al Khidr.

He was a prophet. A great one too};)
Take a look here
http://www.netmuslims.com/info/prophets.html
What is your opinion on this........
In,John 16:7 it says that the Comforter will come. The word "Comforter" in Greek is " Paraclete". It is "Mauhamma" in Aramaic, the language spoken by Jesus-and in Hebrew as well which means "Praised". Muhammad or Ahmad ( Ahmad is another name of Muhammad) means "the Praised"
Then another clue
Abraham predict the coming of Jesus-
John 8
39"Abraham is our father," they answered. "If you were Abraham's children," said Jesus, "then you would[d] do the things Abraham did.
42Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.
NOW Jesus predicted the coming of Muhammad(pbuh)-
John 14
15"If you love me, you will obey what I COMMAND.
16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-
17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But YOU KNOW HIM, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you.
The LAST prophet Muhammad(pbuh) with God's FINAL words.
Your ans is Yes Moses was a prophet which includes Jesus and lastly Muhammad.
Peace};)
Peace Be Upon them All

Yes, he's a Prophet for Bani Israel (Jews) before Isa al Masih (Jesus Christ). Khidir is also a Prophet but all revelations on him are only for him and not to be taught to others.
