I had the exact problem. I use Dove "Extra Volume". It has helped me and has given body to my hair. You can also use the technique I use. When you get out of the shower wrap your hair in a towel and waste about 10 minutes of time so that the moisture of your hair stays in the towel and your hair as well. After that, and I know this might sound crazy, blow dry your hair with your head and hair pointed to the floor. Simply lean over forwards and allow your head to hang and blow dry. It will look frizzy, but after you straighten your hair you will see a huge change and beautiful layers and body.

You will have to have it layered a bit. Hold your hair away from your head when you straighten it too. Good Luck!

Use Aussie volume stuff that helps and you can blow dry your hair upside down to add more volume.

there are many products out there which will improve the volume of yr hair. another option is to perm it straight, this will definaely give your hair double the volume and you wouldnt have to worry about it going fizzy at the sight of h2o. looks fantastic, but is not cheep. good luck!
