You could try that game where you have to introduce yourself to several folks where you have to find someone who has done something like rode a camel, or bakes cookies or has been out to the country. Just make up the categories - say like 10 and turn the people loose. (You'll have to have a sheet for each person with the categories listed on them and a space to write the person's name -)

I cannot imagine an activity where you have only 2 1/2 minutes.

Maybe you'd better just add another 2 1/2 minutes of talk. Or plan ahead with someone who will ''volunteer'' to make a statement of some kind.

ADDITION::

Hi! The scripture that comes to me is Matthew 5:14 - 16. where Jesus talks about "letting our lights shine". I know it isn't exactly about being bold but the idea of "shining for jesus" in spite of the darkness around us is similar.

light is bold, isn't it?

maybe you could have the group turn out all the lights and have one child walk down the aisle with a lighted candle or small flashlight - and then talk about how everyone when they saw the light followed it with their eyes, etc.

you could talk about how light is bold, always pushing its way into darkness, never giving up, never stopping to feel sorry for itself, etc.

you could talk about how attractive light is and that is true boldness - shining for jesus, letting his light shine through...

you could keep the light hid under a basket and then suddenly expose it - maybe have a group of children do that with their lights - showing how being bold for jesus changes the "atmosphere"...

just some ideas.... light doesn't moan and groan and say, "oh, do I have to shine today???" no, it freely gives its light away....

god bless

And who are you to test anybody's faith? And what is the aim of this "bold faith"?
