criticise Islam becoz of the prophet(s.a.w) marriage to Aisha(r.a). When here age mentioned in hadith was not a certain fact!Hadiths vary in what her age was at time of marriage. Also coz the prophet (s.a.w) had about 9-11 wives, when Quran asks men to go up to four wives only!
Then how do you know that Solomon/Sulaiman didnt hav wives that was still young girls?As it was customend that daughters were married off when they reached the age of puberty (get menstruation).
And how different was the two prophet's marriages, since both did it for mostly political reasons (to unify tribes and/or countries)?
Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.Why don't you then criticise him for being lustful like some of critise the prophet?

I agree with thae fact that it is not the religion I have a problem with toeach his own Just do not put down my heavenly Fahter and Lord Jesus Christ. He has been persecuted to daeht once I thikl that is enough. If the majority od Islam is unhappy e=with Bin Ladena nd there is a huge reward for him why do you not band together and try to find him and get the reward. That could go along way towards understanding between the two peoples and show how much you are against Laden. Not judging just giving an idea. May we all love our God and proper as He sees fit.

On the contrary, Solomon is criticized for having wives and concubines - It led to a terrible personal collapse and a dividing of the kingdom of Israel.
solomon, like many men in the bible, had faults and problems and personal weaknesses. solomon is not held up as a paragon of virtue by Christians.

I do not criticize your religion. What I do find angering, however, is not only the actions taken by your brethren in the last few years, but the INACTION taken by the rest of you who claim that you disagree with the events of 9/11. If you're so ashamed of what your brothers did not only to the U.S. but to other countries and races, why haven't the bulk of YOU done anything about it?
I couldn't care less about how many wives Mohammed had. I just look at the examples set by his followers.

I don't think that is the reason people critisize Islam because of that. The biggest problem is the radical Islams such as Bin Laden who believe that killing is justified if it's done to protect God's name.
Just like hypocrital and crooked Christians give decent christians a bad name, so do radical Islams.

The funny thing is, Mary was between 12 and 14 when she had Jesus. They don't understand that that was the culture then. Girls were married off young. In Mohammed's case, as he had other wives, he didn't even hook up with Aisha until she was older.

No matter how many women Solomon had, Jews and Christians don't marry prepubescient girls. This is just not done. On the other hand 50% of all women in Afghanistan are phyically challenged because of prebubescient sex with their husbands.
Any way you slice it, you're not going to win on this particular argument. Islam is just plain wrong when it comes to women.

Solomon probably did! The issue with Mohammad is that he denies the historical evidence of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. He also denies that Jesus was God come down in human flesh.
Jesus & Mohammad clearly contradict one another. I go with Jesus because he DID rise from the dead.

It does not make any difference what name you use for religion.
All of them are nothing more than a means for a few to tell the masses what to do.
It is time for people to understand that religion is the main cause of conflict on this planet. \\
Don't worry though we are becoming so over crowded because of religion that we will soon dissapear in mass. A few will be left to start again. I sure hope they do better.
