If he hit you once, he will hit you again. Stay away from him and find a man who will love and respect you. Everyone deserves that.

Firstly.
Don't go back. He will hit you again, and you deserve someone who respects you.
Secondly.
Being alone can take some getting used to, but it's not all bad! Go out with your friends, spend your time with your family, pursue hobbies, enjoy your life. Maybe volunteer for a charity. Fill your time with worthwhile interests: these will help pass the time, and build your self-esteem. The loneliness will pass, and your life will be richer for this experience.
Thirdly.
There are men out there who respect their partners and treat them with love and affection, not disrespect and violence. Don't be so desperate to be with someone that you end up with someone wrong for you. Just live your life and enjoy it, and chances are that you'll meet someone when you are least expecting it. This is a cliche I know, but it is true in many cases!

You already did the right thing. He hit you and you left. What he did is NOT acceptable just because he may be a great guy in every other way. No girl dreams of getting hit by the guy they are dating.

"Bad boy types" don't hit girls. That's just a saying girls have to decribe them .YOU have typical *sshole that you need to get RID OF NOW before he hurts you. If he hits you he doesn't care for you (I don't care WHAT he says) and the more you take ---the more he won't respect you at all. Run ,don't walk.

Solitude is not a bad thing, and it'll take awhile to get use to being on your own. Don't be pulled back in....stay away from anyone who is physically abusive. No one dreams of a guy that hits her. Wake up, talk to friends that can be objective, seek counseling, anything it takes to get you back in reality. Based on the information you provided, I don't believe you're thinking straight.

Get over him real fast, and stay away from him! Guys who hit girls are very bad news! Find someone that will treat you with respect, that's the very least that you deserve. Kudos to you for having the guts to walk away from him!

I'm sorry about your situation i went through the same thing and I'm only nineteen. i understand you care for him but "a person who loves you does not hurt you". everything happens for a reason you go through the bad to find the good. and if you left him is because you felt threaten by him ,so as much as it may hurt move on." you was born by yourself and your going to die by yourself".
