You still need your parents income to determine what financial aid you are entitle to. This is until your the age 24, become a veteran, get married or have childern or support children

That would depend on whether your parents still claim you as a dependent on their taxes or not. If you live at home and they still claim you as a dependent, then yes, they have to fill out the parents section. If you live on your own and claim yourself, and your parents don't claim you either, then only you need to fill out the dependent student section. You can find out more information at www.fafsa.ed.gov, or you can ask the financial aid office at the school you are applying to.

You MAY not have to. Ask the people at the financial aid office to give you an "Independent Status" claim form along with your FAFSA. You will have to provide lots of documentation to prove you are independent, but I did it since I was 19 since my guardian was my grandmother and she did not work. I supported myself. Its worth a try

No, unless they filed there taxes on you the year before, example if your applying for 2005-2006 you would use 2005 taxes, and if applying for 2006-2007 you would use 2005 and apply for 2006-2007-January 2007, you would probaly use 2006 taxes, make sure with your financial aid counselor at the college you want to attend.

My daughter stopped giving me those forms to fill out when she turned 21.
