the desire to dress as a girl cannot be corrected or eliminated.
it's an urge that cannot be suppressed. leave your son alone with his attire. he may grow out of the practice or grow to enjoy it more. either way, he's your son, and you need to let him know that you love him unconditionally. i would not tell him that what he is doing is wrong and must stop. that will only serve to make him feel like his behavior is bad. it will also cause him emotional turmoil to not be able to be who he is.

This issue can have a few solutions. You can start by talking to him when you see it happening. Find out what this behavior does for him and try to come up with some alternative ways that he can get the same results from something else. Ask him if this is a serious thing for him and if he feels that he needs help with this situation. He may not see it as a problem, so if you make a huge deal about it, he may shut down and not talk to you about it at all. Don't judge him, just be an ear and offer a menu of options. Be supportive in this process.

You can't DO anything! He's your son, just accept him and love him unconditionally. You gave him life. Are you now regretting that? Are you now embarrassed by his existence? Would it be more socially acceptable for you if he were unhappy? Are you ashamed that your son doesn't fit your life plans? Clothes don't make a person. Does your daughter ever wear flannel shirts? Is that okay with your friends and neighbors? What did you teach your kids mom? Are they healthy? Can they think and make their own decisions? Nurture and protect your children, don't try to control and restrict them. Love is the foundation of family.

If your son is displaying actions such as wanting to dress up in his sisters clothing it is apparent depending on age that he is either experimenting or knows his sexual preference. If your son is bi or gay there is nothing you are going to be able to do in order to change him. If you handle this wrong you could lose him in your life. Remember your son is your son, it is not his sexual likes or dislikes that makes him the person he is. Unite with him and be proud of who he is. Tell him wearing his sisters clothing is not correct as they are her clothes. Seek counseling for him and you. Allow him to be who he is.

If he is very young you need do nothing - it is a dressing up game and he should grow out of it. If he has attained puberty that is a different matter and could show psychological problems. If that is the case a visit to the doctor would be in order.

if he's really young then who cares? he's just being a kid and kids like to play dress up and they don't understand gender differences very well. if he's older (like teenager) then talk to him. ask why he likes dresses. if he's gay then he's gay. but that's not necessarily the case. lots of guys where girls clothes as a way to assert their independence and prove that they are unique. let him be him.

Ignore it! If you make a big deal, he'll do it more to get attention. Is he healthy? Is he a good kid? Are you proud of the person he is? Do you love him? Those are the only things that truly matter! Just love & enjoy your son.
