Many pathogens (germs) have a low tolerence for higher temperatures, so I'm almost 100% sure that warm water kills more. AND, don't forget the antibacterial soap...Hand-washing has been proven to be the only effective protection to prevent becoming infected with the common cold virus...Scrub, scrub, scrub, and don't forget those nails... â¥â¥â¥

Either. Wash your hands in whatever water temperature you feel comfortable. You could never put your hands in water hot enough to sanitize them. Anti bacterial soap isn't' any better than regular soap either. The song singing is a good way to make sure you're washing them long enough, just don't sing it as fast as you can. using a nail brush/scrubber is also good when you can. A lot of dirt and bacteria can hide behind your finger nails and you don't get it all with normal washing.

Friction is definitely more important. Research says it does not matter what the temp is because most germs can stand warm water or cold water. Remember they can survive in our 98.6 temp body. The key is friction for at least 30 seconds.

It doesn't matter, as long as you use plenty of friction and wash for at least as long as it takes to sing Yankee Doodle or Happy Birthday.
