I've had a problem w/ acne for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school my mom took me to a dermatologist who put me on some medication that cleared it up completely. I don't remember the name though. It did work but a few years later I started getting it again, only not as bad as before. I was using Proactive and that worked but dried my skin out a lot. My mom talked me into trying Mary Kay's acne treament gel, I was very skeptical but since I really liked their other skin care products I decided to try it. I'm really impressed, this stuff works better for me that anything else I've ever tried and it never dries my skin out. I love it.

I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.

I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and ebooks and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my onld pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!
You can learn about the book at this link http://bambiberg.solution72.hop.clickbank.net
I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn't help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the ebook is that i downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.

I have had the same problem. Over this past year for some reason I have started breaking out & having lots of blackheads. It disgusts me. I researched & researched trying to find something that would work & I did find something that has worked for me. I realise it may not work for you or everyone out there. However, I bought Klear Action. I don't know if you've heard of it, but it compares to Proactiv yet it's 1/2 the price. It sales for $19.99 or that's what I bought it for at Walgreens. I'm not sure who else sales it but you can find it over the Internet. It comes with the 3 step process. You get your wash, your toner, & your lotion. It has really really cleared my skin up. I get a bump on occasion but for the most part I'm clear. My blackheads are even gone. I saw a difference & that it was working within 2 days. It wasn't all gone that quick but I saw a drastic change in my face. I wash my face twice a day in it most of the time, but there's days I only get one wash in. I hope this helps. Good Luck~

Hi,
As with any acne product the reason it works is it has to dry out your skin(pores) as that is where acne comes from, bacteria and oil.
Over use of any product can cause your skin to react abnormally, As you have read, most of the people who have answered have given a positive response to your query, some people, as with anything will have a reaction to a new product, their skin is just reactive to that certain substance.
If you want to try proactive, here is a link that will save you close to 50% off the normal price.

Take a look, if you don't like what you see, then you can move on to something else, but at least take an educated look. It worked for my Daughter,Thanks

This works for me:
Noxema all over my face - a few minutes
Rinse with warm water NOT HOT
Apricot Scrub by St. Ives - excellent for taking off the dead skin
Rinse with warm water
Noxema once again Rinse with Cold water only adding hot to make it warmer if you can't take it or Noxema is not coming off.
When face is clean of everything Rinse with cold water ( as cold as you can stand it) closes your pores and gives your skin a glow. Try to let your face air dry. You might have to dab the neck so it doesn't drip. After your face air dries, then use a clean cotton ball and Witch Hazel. ( If the cotton ball is dirty, use another one until it is CLEAN) Wipe your face again let air dry. Do this everyday! They also have clearasal creams you can dab on your trouble spots. check out oil of olay products too. Very good and they have for blemish skin. My skin is gorgeous and with my features it's a wonder I'm always getting compliments (smile)

A dab of toothpaste, apply it and let it dry before going to bed.
To reduce the redness of the pimple, apply some Visine eye drops, this really makes a difference.
To prevent breakouts, start using the Proactiv line, it will clear your skin up!
