I'm just wondering, becuase there are dozens of auto racing leagues around the world, and I'm sure that only a handful of them pay their drivers good money, so I'm wondering which ones they are?

Money in auto racing is related to exposure and TV endorsements, visibility and popularity. Clearly, a league that has no coverage is of less interst for sponsors, etc. One thing leads to another.

Worldwide the most followed auto category is Formula One. In North America it is Nascar (Nextel Cup). So, in these cases, aside from the actual driver's salary, there are many endorsements which usually are bigger than the salary itself.

Salaries in auto racing are dictated by experience and winning track record. Schumacher certainly had the highest salary among all of his mates. However, second comes popularity. Raikkonen in F1 hasn't won any world title so far, but his salary is the highest in F1 today. Alonso has won two titles, and his salary is not as high as Raikkonen's, but the commercial endorsements place Alonso at a higher income level. Funny I must say that Schumacher just retired, but next season, even without competing, his revenues will be higher than most F1 drivers still competing! That is due to his endorsements, which are still continuing due to his popularity.

However, to make it short, Formula One is the league that allows the drivers to make the most money in the world of auto racing. Second comes Nascar.

Perhaps I'm being pedantic, but the only racing series I'm aware of that uses the word `league' is the Indy Racing League (IRL), so, by default, the Indy Racing League pays drivers the most money.
If your question is: Which racing series pays drivers the most money, then the answer is Formula One, where the highest-paid drivers earn more than anywhere else in racing.
Swiss daily newspaper 'Blick' has reported that Kimi Raikkonen's 2007 annual income will surpass U.S. $51 million.
Michael Schumacher has retired to his Swiss mansion with a
personal fortune estimated at more than $800 million, while his role as Jean Todt's 'assistant' next year - and continuing sponsorship contracts - should see him maintaining a yearly income of more than $10 million.
In 2007, Ralf Schumacher and Jenson Button will each earn an estimated $16 million driving for Toyota and Honda respectively and Giancarlo Fisichella and Felipe Massa approximately. $10 million.
Fernando Alonso's 2007 wage is estimated at $35 million while rookies Robert Kubica, Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen will each make less than $2.8 million.
