Faith is more than believing, it's trusting, look at the things and people around you , what do they do? praying isn't enough, trusting that the Lord Loves you and hears you, and a sure way to see that he does is not only read his word, the bible but to perhaps write your prayers down regularly perhaps before bed time and talk with the Lord as he truly is your dearest friend,
pray his words to him , such as ps91, ask for is Holy spirit to lead your life and direct your spirit which is part of him praise him in music perhaps something along the lines of Paul wilburs watchman album. I Love the Lord and I have had many blessings living my life with him always on my mind.

You're doing part of it. Faith is a hope of things that are not seen, that are true. Prayer is important, as are works. James taught that "faiths without works is dead". One must make their belief an active part of their life. As they do, they will see the fruits of their faith and it will become alive within them. It brings alot of joy and it is not an easy thing. It takes work and patience and hope and trust in God. But you can do it! Don't give up!

Here are some great resources about faith. Take a look if you're interested:

Romans 10:17 So faith follows the thing heard. In turn the thing heard is through the word about Christ.

You have to look for the truth by studying the bible well.

Patience. Faith is something that comes over time. The more you give of yourself - like volunteering, the more you see the good in others and then you begin to recognize Christ working in others and before you know it - you have faith. Hearing about miracles also helps.

We all have the potential within us. Faith is no different than any quality we seek in ourselves. Some have to work harder than others to develop their faith. If nothing good in life comes easy, and faith is a good thing, then it seems to me that faith is worth working for, and fighting to hold onto. If it comes easier to others, then good for them. God knows whether or not a peson wants to develop their faith, and I'm sure he judges us not by the QUANTITY of our faith, but by the QUAILTY of it.

A lot depends on what are you trying to have faith in. I'm assuming you are praying to have faith in God. You are praying that he will intervene on your behalf. If you believe that he will, you have faith. If nothing happens and you continue to believe and pray, you have faith.

Everybody has faith. When you really want to believe something is true, and you have no real evidence of it being true, you tend to just believe it on faith.

the answer lies in Jesus Christ. Ask God to open your eyes to the Truth and His plan for salvation.....and get into a good Bible teaching church....denomination does not matter.
