I met my boyfriend online about a year ago. He is the first decent man I have ever dated. I am just afraid now that I'm not truely in love with him, but with the thought of having someone love me. How do I know if its real? We are looking at rings this weekend and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, but I need to make sure! I am sooooooooo confused.. Please help

I think one year is too short to know if it's a lifetime love or just someone who suits you for the moment... I think the right answer is not if you love him for real but if you are ready to spend your life with him. If the answer is no, give you some time to see what your relation will become through one or two years more and then decide what to do.

when you love someone you know it! it is like nothing describable. don't just marry him because he is the first decent guy you've dated. there are so many good guys out there, if you are not sure don't waste his time or break his heart. you deserve a good man that you have mutual feelings for. life is too short for questions...

you will probably not know for mmm maybe 5 - 10 years if its true love or not
look deep within in you and decide why am i with this guy ---- does he interest me??? do i like being with him??? if you are just with him for the feeling of being loved you will see that quickly

Does he often make sacrifices on your behave? Does he really want you around? Does he talk to you with some level of respect? Does you opinion count? Does he brag about you to his friends about things other then sex? If you can awnser yes to these then you just might have a keeper.
