And told you that he had chosen you as the next Messiah,

I would not accept.... since I would doubt that it was God Almighty. There's already been one who has saved the world from all its ills -- in the person of Jesus Christ. The time will come when "salvation" will be actualized. It's coming... one day soon.

First, I would offer to buy him a pizza or something, because I would not want to just let him go without eating something, that would be rude.
Anyway, after the meal, I would then ask what I would have to do within this whole messiah thing. If it involves having to simply let people kill me, I would have to say no. Already don't like people, I'm not gonna let em kill me.

Messiah already came so I would know it was not God appearing before me.

I'd say Lord, Your wisdom and Your will is my command, and my desire.
And by the way, Lord, can I also have X-ray vision and a cool suit? This way, We'll get it right this time!

((Look, I'm only kidding with that last part, don't Email me, don't stand in judgement of my personal relationship with God, OK))

yer Q. implies that I have even the slightest clue as to what the world's ills are. I have my opinions, but are mine in line with God Almighty's? I doubt it, really;

But, if He came to me with that directive, how could I say no?

yes, then I'd hire a committee to do all the work for me. e.g my brothers, my parents and my boyfriend. And I'd sit around scoffing pies all day. If anybody questioned me I'd threaten them cause I'm the messiah.

God is with us always.

The question itself is ridiculous, since God has already sent our Messiah. It's up to you to choose to follow His teachings.

No - how can someone who doesn't exist suddenly appear in the next few minutes?

Like I have a choice?

"Sorry, God, I'm really busy today. I have to meet the devil at 4 o'clock."

I'd ask what I had to do and if he said some rubbish about dying to erase people's sins I'd laugh at him, say I've heard that one before and send him on his way.
