Pride - Comparing ourselves to others and not seeing our self as we are.
Avarice/Greed - Not just money. It wants us to get "our fair share" or maybe just a little more. Believing that something is owed to us.
Envy - Sometimes this is seen as pride, resenting the good that others receive.
Wrath/Anger - Impatience with the results of others, reacting to problems in a negative angry way. Lacking patience and compassion.
Lust - self destructive drive for pleasure out of proportion to the worth.
Gluttony - non acceptance of the natural limits of pleasures and throws the natural balance off.
Sloth - A dead feel in the spiritual sense, slow to respond to the call and commands of God.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I read a book called The Third Deadly Sin. Had to go & look them up. Profit from my research:
envy - wanting something someone else has
lust - usually sexually interpreted. Deisre for another person.
anger - obvious what this means
pride - this refers to the kind of over-weening pride that stops you seeing that anything you do/say is wrong
sloth - laziness
gluttony - eating just because food is there, even though you were full ages ago.
covetousness - very close to envy. I've never actually found a real difference

The seven deadly sins are as follows:
Lust - is best described as depraved thought, unwholesome morality, desire for excitement, or need to be accepted or recognized by others.
Gluttony - associated with an overindulgence of food and drink, though in the past any form of thoughtless excess could fall within the definition of this sin.
Greed - disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain, as when someone lets themselves be bribed. Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that are inspired by greed.
Sloth - refusal to enjoy the goodness of God and the world he created.
Wrath - Inappropriate feelings of hatred and anger. Denial of the truth, both to others and in the form of self-denial.
Envy - jealousy, malice.
Pride - desire to be more important or attractive to others, failing to give credit due to others, or excessive love of self.

Verses a more biblicial application of the above is:
Proverbs 6: 12-19
The Wicked Man
12 A worthless person, a wicked man,
Walks with a perverse mouth;
13 He winks with his eyes,
He shuffles his feet,
He points with his fingers;
14 Perversity is in his heart,
He devises evil continually,
He sows discord.
15 Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;
Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.
16 These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

There is nothing like seven deadly sins.
The biggest sin (which cannot be forgiven by God) is not believing in God and One God
