From what I see on Yahoo answers, if you even question the merits of Bible and Christianity, you are labeled as an Atheist and flamed without mercy. Are there any others like me who are agnostic and are just trying to get some answers?

From some of the answers I see some folks have no idea of the difference between Agnostics and Atheists. Let me clarify:
Agnostics don't believe in the Christian God or any other God presented by humankind, but are willing to keep an open mind to find the truth.

Atheists don't believe in God at all, and have a firm conviction in their beliefs.

It's not necessarily true. Christians don't do labels unless they know for sure who regularly resides in this section daily who do label themselves proudly which a great majority do are atheist and such. You see it without a doubt in the way some unbelievers answers and ask questions. Some Christians don't agree with Catholics, mormons and Jehovah witness and definitely not muslims so this is not a fair question but stirring up strife to benefit yourself for a temporal second. How sad!

Christians don't label people, people label people. Not believing in Christianity or the Bible doesn't make you an atheist.

Let me motivate you with a verse of scripture...(my apologies if you don't beleive in the Bible, take it for what it's worth)

Joh 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, Reach your finger here and behold My hands; and reach your hand here and thrust it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!
Joh 20:29 Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed.

I pray that God will work a miracle in your heart, that you might behold His Glory for yourself...and not according to what people say to you.

By the way...agnostic only means non-believing, and believes can change.

Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Because they don't know that Athiests are people who do not believe in any type of higher power at work. Agnostics believe in a higher power and quite often believe the Bible, but don't believe in organized religion. Go figure.

Because it's fun, okay? What would people laugh at if certain "Christians" weren't going ridiculously zealous of their "faith"?

A real Christian does not label, it's against the faith.

Many label themselves as atheist in here. So it's probably an assumption.

don't sweat the small stuff. Keep looking for answers and pray that God will open your eyes to the Truth. It is about salvation, not about what other people say.

If you don't believe in God, I'm pretty sure that makes you an atheist.
