I have a second date tonight but the girl I really want to go out with hasnt agreed to go on a date yet..... She is in my mind and I almost feel quilty . I have told her that she had better hurry up or I might be taken soon..... And I asked her if she wanted me to cancel this 2nd date with the other girl..... Still waiting to hear back on that one....
What should I do.... ? I really like her but dont want to burn my bridges just yet....

I'm not sure how old you are but trying to keep your options open could be taken as a little immature. It certainly isn't right to string someone along just in case you don't get the one you want; that suggests that you are simply afraid to be on your own. Ask the other girl out on a specific date (day/time/place) if she says no just accept it. if she ums & ahhs she is just playing games round you. Then focus on making something real work.

I think you lack self-confidence.
You need a back-up plan? Why? What would happen if, god forbid, you were left without a date. Maybe you'd just have to amuse yourself.
The answer to your question is...
Cancel the date with the other girl. You're clearly not into her, you're raising her hopes of something more, and basically you're USING her. You say nothing about liking her. She deserves better than being someone's second choice.
The girl that you really want to go out with WON'T be impressed by the "I might be taken soon" line. Girls like to think (and rightly so) that you want to go out with THEM. Not... just anybody who will agree to it. My feeling is that she doesn't want to go out with you either... otherwise she would.
I'm sorry if this is harsh, but my advice would be to put less importance on the idea of dating and more on the feelings of those who you date.
Even if you end up finding dates with this sort of attitude, I don't think it will make you happy, or lead to anything in the long run.
You're acting like a jerk. And I don't think you are one, so maybe try and grow up a little and think about the other person.

I believe that your not being fair on this one. Course noone likes being alone and believe me ive been in exactly the same predicament before. but for your own sake you need to get this other girl out of your head before being ready to start another relationship with someone else. plus do you only want this girl because she doesnt want you? realise that being by yourself youll find out a whole lot about yourself, learn how to ooze confidence not desperation and when that amazing person comes along your well ready.
Enjoy, play the field and learn how to be yourself without needing someone else

You may as well quit living until she makes up her mind. You are already letting her ruin any perspective relationships by not giving anyone else a chance, and I would feel sorry for any girl you ended up dating that aren't her, because they won't have your full attention. They will only be a distraction for you until she makes herself available to you.
Stop letting her control you without even committing to you. I would think if she was truly interested she would have already answered your question.

The other girl doesn't like you or she would be going on a date with you.

I certainly wouldn't want to be the girl on the second date, how humiliating for her heart to be used.

What do you mean "you had better hurry up" - how rude. You need to be brought down a peg or two.
