I wear a cross to remind me of what Jesus suffered for me. It is not meant to taunt or disrespect Him in any way.
And yes, I believe that Jesus would be happy to know that we remember and appreciate what He has given to us.

Well, it's a reminder of what he went through FOR ALL OF US!! I don't think he's angry at all! Now when someone is a non-believer, and they just wear the cross as a piece of jewelry, then yeah, i think he's mad about that. Athletes, celebrities, movie stars, rock stars, even heavy metal bands that perform blasphemous music wear crosses. David Bowie, in the famous Christmas video of "The Little Drummer Boy", with Bing Crosby, is wearing a cross necklace, but at the time, David was NOT religious. I don't know if he is now. That's one thing that would make Jesus shake his head, that a non-religious person would be singing a Christmas song.
This is a true story, as told by a televangelist. Some lady walked into a jewelry store one day, and asked to buy a cross, and she added, "i want one plain, without that little man on it."

He could have got down off that cross at any moment--it wasn't the 'instrument of his demise' but the demise of death.
I think of it as a symbol of his love for the world and his obedience to the will of God. when I wear a cross, it reminds me loving sacrifice = "greater love has no (wo)man than this, that (s)he lay down her life for her friends"
God bless

It is a reminder. I do find that people that do wear the cross are people who are doing there own thing but do love Jesus. Maybe that is how they want to shoe the world that they know him. I dont have a cross on my neck or in my house But Iove Jesus with all my heart.

Yes, the cross symbolizes the main reason for His coming here -- to offer Himself so that we would all be freed from the punishment for our sins.
Jesus said a lot of nice things, and He did a lot of nice things -- but those were not His most important reasons for coming to this earth.
He came here to suffer, die, and rise again -- and to bring us to Heaven as a result.
That's what the cross was all about.

"I'm NOT going back there, dad! They're all wearing CROSSES!!"
I always wondered about that. I mean, the point of Christ was that he rose from the dead, wasn't it? Not just that he died.... I would suggest for christians to wear a closed circle over an open ring as a symbol for the open grave. It's much more pleasant.

The cross is a very big part of Jesus' power, without it he is nothing. Therefore I believe that Jesus would approve

Good question.
In the early church the symbol of christianity was the fish...for the bread and fish he multiplied.
Peter was also crucified. I'm not it's that big of a deal to him, only that we humans be saved.

i think it would sadden his heart; but, he would forgive
imagine: a dear family member shot with a pistol at point blank range and after the person has died, then to remember the person i take a replica of the pistol and hang from my mirror in my car, over my front door, and i hang one around my neck
i might even decide to sing songs about the old rusty gun
