if hes your mate, talk to him and tell him how you feel, if he wants to be friends, accept it, is this worth losing your friendship over

Tricky one this. The problem is that guys are easily confused (sorry, guys, I'm not being sexist, just trying to be realistic).

It may well be that he does want to take it further, but is confused by the mixed messages you've given him.

Ot it could be that all the confusion has made him a bit wary of you.

How would you feel about arranging to meet him for lunch or something and having a chat about it?

Or is there a mutual friend you could talk to who might know what he is thinking/feeling about it all?

It sounds as if this is someone you like anyway and would want to keep as a friend even if nothing else happens.

It sounds as if maybe you've been snogging him on nights out, when maybe you'd both had a bit to drink?

If so, talking to him when you're both sober might be a good idea.

Good luck! I hope you get what you want - whatever that is :-)

Tell him - I was in the same situation and didn't want to rock the boat with a girl who I fancied who was my best mate. Then I started seeing someone else and she was not pleased and we lost contact and I now haven't seen her for a long time. I did have a reasonably long relationship with the other girl though.

I now sometimes still wonder what might have been (and miss her friendship).

What does snogging mean??
Okay, my advice is to have a talk with him very soon before any possible feelings for you that he may have had, disappear.

You gave him mixed signals. Time to take a deep breath and lay your cards on the table. Send him a text saying you want to meet for a coffee. Tell him you really like him and he is a great guy and you need to talk. If he agrees to meet take it from there. Touch his hand, smile and flirt like mad!!!! Good luck!

Tell him how you feel, but not if its going to be a fling, cause its not worth losing a mate over, its hard to find a good plutonic mate.

I'd pull away too! What's the point in kissing someone if it's not going to go anywhere? You have to explain to him how you feel...

maybe. . . the only way to get things on track is to just be honest with him. you have to take a risk. he had to protect himself before because he didn't want to get hurt, so you will have to open up the possibility of getting hurt yourself now like he did before. good luck

If you have given up...it is too late.....but if you have not....explain to him why you did what you did....here you have a chance to learn what so many people somehow forget to realise.....JUST SAY IT HOW IT IS....no.. what if, does he/she mean....rubbish...just be honest tell the truth and communicate.
