This is for a memorial I am planning for my grandfather who passed suddenly last Xmas. If anybody can help I would really appreciate it.

Ave, vitam meam exemplo tuo vivam.

Ave = grandfather (vocative of avus - direct address)
vitam meam = my life (accusative - direct object)
exemplo tuo = by your example (ablative)
vivam = I will live

That is a nice sentiment!

"Agito Exemplum Avitus" = To Live by example of your grandfather".

By latin you mean Spanish or real Latin? In Spanish it is Abuelo or Abuelito. I think Abuelito is Grandaddy. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong. Here it is in Spanish: "Abuelo, vivire mi vida por su ejemplo."
