Pagans, Jews, I could go on and on and on and on but you get the point.

It is not their fear of Hell so much as it is their mistaken belief that God commanded them to go out and convert people.

They persecute anything and anyone that stands in the way of their own enlightenment. It is almost as if they think that there is a reward for "the most conversions" when they get up there.

But don't stop with the Christians..... the Muslims are just as bad...
Then again it makes sense..... both spring from the same source.

Why do other people feel it is ok to persecute Christian for their beliefs, but if a Christian tells you that they believe what you are doing is wrong, they are automatically persecuting you?

How's that for a passive/agressive statement.

also, it's not the fear of Hell... the the Hope of Heaven, and the Love of Jesus.

May you have a Blessed day

If you saw a person stepping out in front of a speeding bus wouldn't you at least try to stop them. It is not persecution, we all are sinners. But I am called to love my brother as myself so in that I will try to shed the light about heaven and hell, I would want someone to do that for me. If I see someone that I love involved in destructive behavior I am going to try my hardest to help them change their ways. As a Christian I am called to tell people the truth and if I don't I will be judged. God has given us all free will, you can listen or not. But as long as I have spoken the truth when you are faced with the sentence to hell, don't say that I didn't warn you. Repent!

When a Christian warns you of the real possibility of going to hell, why do you take it as "persecution"?

If you're convinced that we're wrong and that there is no hell, then why does bringing up hell bother you so much?

I think you need thicker skin, or you need someone to talk you through your religiophobia.

Well, everything seems to be done by fear these days.
Example can be the trans fat ban in NY. WHY? Because people are afraid of choosing to eat a salad instead of all that fat food.
Fear is an insturment that just about all organizations use.
That or guilt.

because they want to build everybody up to a level of paranoia, so they won't feel alone in the world anymore.
because maybe, they're paranoid about their own selves, and feel like everybody else should be, too.
