im doing an essay and i need a quote to show how hes unwilling to kill him at the end of the novel.

i read this book my sophmpore year in high school so i dont know that exact quote but he tells lennie to hide behond the bush and hell come get him when the trouble dies down and at first he was going to run away and leave him but then he just decided to put him out of his misery
