It is a key part of any healthy relationship. If you have not worked up enough of a relationship to tell him this, then you do not know him well enough to be telling him this. If that's the case, I recommend getting to know him better as a friend, spending time together, and seeing where it goes from there.

You should write it in a letter, And give it to him and tell him not to read it until after you leave. In the letter tell him how you feel and ask him to hang out sometime to get to know him
