First of all, this is not a religious or spiritual question. It is more psychological in my opinion.

Secondly, do you realize how much damage this question does? Do you think you are the first person to ever ask it?

People who are not dealing well with their lives can see this question as further proof that they are incompetent and being victimized.

1. "you attract everything life brings you" If you are convinced that you are living a life that is full of struggle and strife, that statement indicates that you have brought it upon yourself, this can be very disabling to some people deep in depression, or who have suffered losses that they cannot deal with at the moment.

2. "thus you know how to deal with it" Yes, but if you are not, this indicates to you that "everyone else" knows how except you. What a position to put people in.

You should be very careful how you spout your psycho babble in public. People who really deal with those in times of extreme crisis know that statements like these do not help and can do extreme harm.

And what of the poor civilians in war torn areas? Did they "bring it on themselves the they lost relatives, arms, legs? And how, pray tell did they learn "how to deal with it?"

And Allah knows best.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

Many people do have patterns of behavior that continually bring them into the same kinds of life situations - women who are freed from one abusive relationship often gravitate to another, within a short time. Because their own actions and lack of self esteem attract the predator.
Some things though, simply happen to a person because they were there - drive-by shootings, car accidents, earthquakes, tidal waves.
We can not say that the person attracted the disaster, nor should we say that someone's hateful choice or a natural occurrence, is "God's Will".

for example, if u are an angry human, you will not attract happy people becos happy people hate angry people. then how do u attract angry people if u are an angry person? if u are an angry person, u tend to be crazy, mad and pissing people off. so they in turn will get mad and angry and that is how u attract angry people.

if u are a good natured person, would u attract a punk *** person?
obviously not. rather, other good natured people would like to be with you.

would drug addicts attract attorneys? duh NO

what ayour personality is will attract those who like your personality.

surely a doctor wont be attracted to hooker if they have totally different personalities.

if u have a certain personality which people like, u will attract them.

if one dresses like a total slut, she'll just attract more jerks and be banged by them for the short run. if she wants a serious relationship, then dressing like a slut obviously wont atttact those in favour of a serious long term one becos they will think slutty looking girls dont look serious. that's the first impression they give to people.

so if u wanna attract a particular type of person, then adjust urself and make sure u like ur new self and that can attract the person u want. as long as u are happy abt it, then it's fine.
