High in the atmosphere it is good acting with other gases in reflecting some of the harmful effects of sunlight such as ultra violet and preventing too much heat build up.

On the ground it is very harm full. Combined with pollution from vehicle exhausts and chimneys etc it causes smog. That causes healthy people to choke get sore eyes, noses and throats.

Ozone on it's own can cause severe problems to sufferers of breathing problems like asthma.

Ozone is actually three oxygen molecules. Whilst we need to breath oxygen to live, like many other things it is actually deadly poisonous in higher doses. Too much oxygen and you would drift off to sleep never to wake up!!!
